Intro into Canada

Canada is the second largest country in the world and it has over 60% of the fresh water in the world.  With so many things to do and see in this country it’s a year round destination for any visitor.  Most of the country experiences four seasons – spring in April and May; summer from June to August; autumn in September and October; and winter from November to March.  Just keep in mind if you are arriving from the Southern Hemisphere the seasons are opposite to yours.

In summer it’s a great opportunity for you to experience the outdoors.  You can go canoeing and kayaking, biking, hiking, camping, golf, horseback riding, rafting, and fishing at one the thousands of different lakes in Canada.

If you have a chance to come visit in autumn you will see the fall colors of Eastern Canada.  The trees are in full color as you will see reds, oranges, and an astonishing blaze of gold colors on the trees and the also the ground. Also, you will see many types of birds migrating south for the winter.  The most famous one of them all in Canada is the Canadian Geese.

The best season of all arguably in Canada is winter. As we all know Canada is the best ice hockey country in the world and here you will have a chance to go watch the professionals play in one of the major cities across Canada.  If it is a bit too pricey go to an amateur game or even go to your nearest sports bar and get into the action that way.  You can’t forget that Canada has the Rocky Mountains, so this makes it a world-renowned ski and snowboard destination too.  For the non-skiers there are activities such as dog sledding, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, and snow shoeing.  If you are in Canada at Christmas time you are sure to experience a white Christmas wherever you are in the country.  If everything listed above isn’t good enough for a destination.  Canada is also one of the few countries that experience the Northern Lights, in autumn and the winter season.
