Belize is situated in Central America at the base of the Yucatán Peninsula and it borders Mexico and Guatemala. It used to be part of the British Empire and is one of only a few English speaking countries in Central America and the Caribbean. Most of the country is covered in forest and the part that isn’t runs along the beautiful Caribbean Sea. If you are a dive enthusiast, Belize is rated as one of the top destinations in the world to dive or snorkel. It’s said that this coral reef is second only in size to the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. This is an underrated country, but give it a few years and it will be one of the most visited countries in Central America.
