Barbados is located on the Atlantic Ocean, just east of the Windward Island group, which is located in Caribbean. It’s was once controlled by the British till it's independance in 1966 and it was considered to be one of the jewels of the Caribbean, as the standard of living and the high end accommodaiton, make it a popular destination among the rich and famous. This former British colony shouldn't be missed, as it has fantastic golf courses, high end resorts, amazing relaxing beaches and fantastic shopping.
