This is countries most barren and least populated state, but is home to one of the countries most famous tourist attractions, Ayers Rock (Uluru). The Northern Territory is more of a seasonal place to visit. As in rainy season between November to March most of the northern parts are flooded with crocodile infested waters. If you come in the dry season you will see arguably the most spectacular park in Australia, which is Kakadu National Park and it is listed as a World Heritage site.
